A Welcome Break From The Cold!

I am ready for Winter to BE GONE!! I know the kids are too. It is getting very tiring explaining to Gracie why we can't go swimming. Every meal she sits and looks out the patio door to the snow covered pool. Poor thing. So, when the opportunity for some swimming fun came our way we jumped at it. They girls had a blast and now I hear about swimming even more. It was worth it though. My two little fish make Phelps look like a lead balloon. ; )

Our Annual Trip to Frankenmuth

This past Saturday we braved the snow and went to Frankenmuth. We usually go every December. I must admit it was nice to go in January and not have the millions of people to deal with. I missed going to Bronners though. : ( The food was wonderful. I got Schnitzel with my chicken. LOVED IT!! I might just get that next time. Of course the liver pate was the best part. I even brought a pint home. Here are a couple pics.

My future Grammy winner.

Nothing inspires a person more than being in the bathroom. We need something to pass the time. They aren't the best video because I had to size them down. Sorry.

You Are My Sunshine

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Fearless!

Gracie is just like Avery when it comes to adventure. I freak out and the kids just laugh!

Hmmm, this looks interesting.

Wow, I can everything from up here. Mom, you need to dust.

Hammer Time!

This morning we took Gracie to a free kids clinic at Lowes. She loves to go to these. She gets to hammer and glue and build. She build me a flower box for my window, a gingerbread house, a semi-truck with a little wooden #48 car. You know that would have been better if it was a Tony Stewart car. hehe Here are some pics. I tried to upload a video, but we can only get dial-up out here int he boonies.

Tony tells me that I should point out that what she made below is a Time Capsule

Playing in the snow

Here are some pics of the girls playing in the snow. There wasn't much left.

How are we doing?

For those wondering, we are great. Gracie is getting so big. She sings all the time. She can sign 3 verses of "Twinkle, Twinkle". I can barely do that. She also loves to sing the ABC's, You Are My Sunshine, The Wheels On The Bus. There are so many more. I will post some video as soon as she stands still long enough for me to get one.

She has moved into her "Big Girl Bed". She took to it good. There was only a couple nights she asked to sleep in her crib instead. We took the crib down before Christmas and she has never asked about it since. She loves her new Tinkerbell pillow and blanket that Santa brought her. Of course she still has to have her Bunny.

We are working on potty training right now. Now that will be a test of my patience for sure. She is one the verge of 100% ready, I just want to get a leg up. We will be putting that washing machine to the test now. : )

Avery is in the 2nd grade this year. She is super duper smart. She tutors other kids in her class. Yeah, we are proud. She made her first snowman this year (so she says). Her and Gracie had a great time playing in the snow. Too bad for Gracie I am not a cold weather type of gal. I will leave that up to Dad.

Tony is working like crazy. They have laid off so many people there that Tony is doing 3 different jobs. It is great experience, but at what cost. We try to really enjoy the weekends together. the time goes by so quickly.

Nothing is new with me. I get to spend all day with my favorite girl. That is quite the experience. She amazes me. My eyesight has been stable for a few months now. I go back at the end of January for my checkup.

I wish all the best for you and yours. Thanks for checking in. We love and miss all our family and friends.
